The Boston Bruins are a National Hocky League(NHL) team based in Boston Massachusetts. The organization was founded in 1924 and their current arena is Td Banknorth Garden Arena. They are affiliated with the popular Minor League team the Providence Bruins also. Boston not only has historic teams in other sports but also in ice hockey. The Bruins are probaly the most famous hockey team ever and have a huge fan base. They have won a total of five Stanley Cups(1928-'29, 1938-'39, 1940-'41, 1969-'70, and 1971-'72. The Bruins have produced a total of 24 Hall of Famers most notably including such stars as Bobby Orr and Ray Bourque. Starts of todays Boston Bruins include Glen Murray(Pictured), and Zdeno Chara. Recent stars who have come in gone includ Joe Thornton and Sergei Samsonov the first and eight overall draftees in the 1997 provided the Bruins with a terrorizing tandem for many years before moving on.
